City of Brotherly Love

A lot of people have been asking me when I'm going to go back to Philly for a visit. I find this to be a tough question to answer because I just don't know. Do I really want to spend the money to fly across the country for just a weekend? Definitely not, but that's the predicament I'm in since friends are now getting married I have to make the decision to either spend $400-$600 for a flight home or look like an ass for not attending. The look like an ass part is mainly because right now I would rather spend that money to do something out here, or travel somewhere new... not fly back to where I lived for the first 25 years of my life for just a 3 day visit that would not include seeing any family. With being at a new job I am limited to the amount of vacation time I have and what I do have is already taken up. This is why my visits would only be for the weekend. I know there are tougher decisions out to make than where I should spend my money but I'm fortunate enough to have the ability to make such a decision.

Philly is great though and I do love it there. A co-worker is going this weekend for the first time. I am excited to see what he thinks of the great city that I grew up in. If there is one thing I miss the most besides family it has to be the sports. People here just don't live for sports or bleed their team colors like Philly does. Experiencing the Phillies championship two years back was an event I will never forget. The below photo is from the night they won the World Series.
